1.
Queen of the Blues But who could have walked a mile in your shoes? And paved the path you did Even though it cost you so much in the end Censorship and raids I wonder what you'd think of how things have changed today Not just a sinner, not exactly a saint But driven by love and ruined by hate And when you fell you fell so hard No-one was there to catch your fall Queen of the Blues So many wanted to step into your shoes You took more than you needed Trying to fill the void and shut out the pain inside Now you sleep at Walton-on-the-Hill I hope you're at peace Now you sleep at Walton-on-the-Hill A Mary Magdalene for the 70's

Oil Rainbow 03:44
A band of colour Unlike any other Shines from a squalid place From a puddle in a road To a slick in the sea The light reflects differently Depending on where you stand And what your mind can see It’s not the same for you and me The oil in the water Will succumb to nature’s order And sunlight will make it clear again From a puddle in a road To a slick in the sea The light reflects differently Depending on where you stand And what your mind perceives It’s not the same for you and me From a puddle in a road To a slick in the sea The light reflects differently How does it look to you? I’ll tell you how it looks to me But nothing is ever what it seems I’ve seen these colours in my dreams

about

While on the 2022 In Three Minds tour with Kevin Hewick and Rebecca Mileham, Chris from Punk Fox Records heard a song I was debuting called Mary Magdalene, and asked if they could release it as a 7" single, which is something I've always wanted to do. We added another new song for the b-side.

Mary Magdalene is, at heart, a song about not underestimating or judging people if you have never walked in their shoes, and Oil Rainbow is about how it's possible to find beauty or something positive in almost anything.
